My story
In 2002, I discovered the transformative power of Pilates. It began as a personal journey after a pretty intense back injury. I noticed all of the back therapy exercises that physical therapists gave me were Pilates based mat work. This peaked my interest in digging a little deeper into this method of movement. I have always been active in team sports and recreational activities. I love to run, cycle, and cross country ski. However, I never felt structurally strong, and after my back injury I jumped into strengthening my body more holistically. This soon evolved into a passion because I felt so strong and healthy. The funny thing, I was the youngest person in the class by 30 years! I wondered why no one my age (20s) was doing this. I felt the need to teach and preach the gospel of Pilates. Over the past 21 years, I've honed my skills and deepened my understanding of Pilates, ultimately leading me to open my own studio today. It's a testament to the profound impact Pilates has had on my life, and I'm excited to share its benefits in all aspects of peoples goals.
